Kmart Launches New Customer Service Initiative
Customer Sweepstakes Will Award $10,000 Each Month
At Kmart Corporation (NYSE: KM) "Customers Rule," and now Kmart customers who call a new 800 customer service line and tell the company what they think about their shopping experiences in their local Kmart store become eligible to win $10,000.
Launched nationwide on Oct. 1, the Kmart Super Service 800 number is randomly printed on cash register receipts. If customers call the number within three days of the date on the receipt and participate in a brief survey about their shopping experience they are automatically entered into that month's sweepstakes. One name is drawn for the $10,000 prize each month.
"Kmart's new Super Service Sweepstakes will reward loyal customers for providing us with the information we need to better serve and offer a more satisfying shopping experience with us," said Dave Easterbrook, Kmart Divisional Vice President, Customer Service. "All Kmart stores will receive a report detailing the responses their customers have provided, encouraging us to continuously improve shopper satisfaction."
The first national $10,000 prize-winner name will be drawn the first week of November. No purchase is necessary to enter the sweepstakes. Those who do not purchase products can mail in their entries. Official rules and entry forms for the sweepstakes are posted at the Customer Service Desk in Kmart stores.
