Kmart Expands 90-Day Generic Program to Cover Additional Drug Offerings

Customers can now choose 22 additional products from the formulary

Kmart Pharmacy announced today the addition of 22 products to its convenient 90-Day Generic Drug Program, which now offers customers a total of 225 prescription medications. The additions include drugs used in the treatment of pain, depression, high blood pressure, under-active thyroid and high cholesterol. The most notable addition includes Simvastatin, the generic form of Zocor®, a highly prescribed cholesterol drug.

The program, which began in May of 2006, has been in effect in more than 1,100 Kmart pharmacies nationwide, provides added economic value and time savings for customers. The Kmart 90-Day Generic Program offers a 90-day supply of covered generic medications for $15 regardless of the prescribed daily dosage.
